The Demythification and Demystification of the Bible
Ask anyone to describe the Bible and the usual response is a book of inspiration, hope and comfort. Most people believe it is holy but full of MYTHS: folklore, fables, legends and mysteries obscure and incomprehensible passages. This is simply not true. That assumption is largely based on mistranslation and misinterpretation of the original Hebrew.By deconstructing some of these alleged myths, and demystifying the difficult verses, we hope to take the mystery out of the text so that it may be properly analyzed, understood and applied to current events as a guide for mankind. Hence, our coining of a new word in the book title, The Demythification and Demystification of the Bible.
